Data & Integrations.
Most modern applications spend more code on integrating with other systems than on their own core logic. We design data models, integration architectures, and ETL pipelines that survive change — because the upstream and downstream systems will keep changing whether you plan for it or not.
What this is.
Most modern applications spend more code on integrating with other systems than on their own core logic. We design data models, integration architectures, and ETL pipelines that survive change — because the upstream and downstream systems will keep changing whether you plan for it or not.
What's in scope.
- Database design (PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis)
- ETL and data pipeline engineering
- Event streaming (Kafka, Pulsar, AWS EventBridge)
- Third-party API integrations
- Data migration and replatforming
- Real-time and batch sync architectures
How we do this.
Data model as foundation. A good data model makes features easy; a poor one makes them expensive and dangerous.
Integrations designed for change. Every third-party integration assumes the upstream will change. Abstraction layers, retry logic, and observability are default.
Consistency models chosen deliberately. Strong consistency, eventual consistency, and everything in between — we make the choice explicit, not inherited.
Migration strategy before migration execution. Dual-write periods, reconciliation, rollback plans — the details that determine whether a migration succeeds.
Observability for data. Pipeline health, data quality, and freshness monitoring are part of the build, not a later addition.
The stakes.
Your data is your business state. A bad data model compounds into wrong invoices, missed customers, and reports leadership cannot trust. The investment is always at the model layer — because that is the one layer you cannot easily replace.
